favorite Spot

On our first trip to this beautiful country, out of the three places we stayed, nothing copmpared to the new house @ Congo Bongo. Over 6 months ago we stayed there and to this day there's not a day that goes by that we don't think back to our great time we had at your place. The beach, the plants, the food you served, the world's best shower, it was almost a sensory overload. Thanks so much we look forward to seeing you again soon. Curtis & Judy.

Hoi Daan, Hoe gaat het? We hebben nog veel national parks bezocht na Congo-Bongo maar door het avontuur in jou jungle houses waren we erg verwend en niet snel meer tevreden! Bedankt hè....hahaha! Grtz van Bob en Manon.

Vacation

A couple of friends and I just finished our vacation at congo Bongo, and what an experience! The grounds are spectacular, the beach completely private, and Daan is wonderfully nice. This was the best vacation expereience I have ever had, and I've been all over the world. My entire family and I are planning on returning next year for another stay. If you are planning on coming to Costa Rica, this is the only place to stay!!

Pura Vida!

Daan, Marisol, and Masai, All of the students from Fairleigh Dickinson University had an unforgettable time at Congo Bongo and it is something we will never forget. Hola Marisol, Dann y Masai, ya hace una semana que hemos llegado a nuestro país después de las vacaciones en Costa Rica y dos desde que estuvimos con vosotros, no nos olvidaremos jamás de la estancia con vosotros, solo pensamos en volver para pasar todos los dias allí en lugar de moverse por todo el país, nosotros no tuvimos ni un solo dia de llivia, mucha suerte y ahora nos llegan noticias que teneis inundaciones, espero que esteis bien, si necesitais ayuda por nuestra parte, por favor decirnos como os podemos ayudar y vuestros deseos serán satisfechos.

Our stay with you

Hi Daan We arrived home last evening, thought about you finally seeing Marisol and Masai. Hope you had a pleasant stay in San Jose. We are so happy to be home with our many kids and they are elated to have us home. BUT we would rather be there(with them). It is getting cold here, Brenda can not get warm. I keep leaving all the doors open as if I were still there. Needless to say we had the Best time ever, and we can not wait to get back. We are thinking January. We may come with friends. Prachtige tijd

Lieve Daan,Marisol en Masai, We zijn veilig thuisgekomen maar nog wel last van een jetlag. Zoals je ziet schrijf ik dit midden in de nacht. Terug denkend aan wat jij daar hebt neergezet menig ander mens had het al 1oo keer opgegeven.Ik had gisteren al gemaild maar er is waarschijnlijk iets fout gegaan.We willen jullie nogmaals bedanken voor de fijne tijd die we bij jullie hebben gehad.We hebben nu al heimwee naar al die prachtige jungle geluiden.Het is toch anders om door de wekker gewekt te worden in plaats van de mooie vogel en brulapen geluiden. Wij reden het pad af met tranen in onze ogen we voelde ons echt thuis bij jullie. Als afscheids kadootje mochten een paar 100 meter bij jullie vandaan nog een luiaard ontmoeten die daar de weg overstak.In het vliegtuig lazen we het Matinair magazine en tot onze verbazing staan jullie erin met Gongo Bongo als insider tip. We wensen jullie heel veel geluk,gezondheid en nog meer wijsheid toe. Heel veel liefs en ook een dikke knuffel voor Poppie en Ska en de andere 2 knuffelvrienden. Groetjes en tot gauw weer ziensxxxxx Theo en Caroline.

I am very interstedin coming over to costa rica and visiting congo bongo It has been a dream of mine to lead a life that you do. That is why i would like to come with my family and see if its really something for all of us. My boyfriend is from uruquay anyway. could you please let us know the best time to come over. and do we have to put our name on a waiting list and what about vaccinations. wonderful vacation

Hi Daan, Looking back on our wonderful week at Congo Bongo. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The "howler monkeys" jumping from tree to tree was a wonderful experience. We saw the mothers carrying their babies on their backs. This was a wonderful experience. PS. Daan is a wonderful host and very accomodating. This was a wonderful experience and we will never forget it. Thanks Dan.

Daan, Thanks again for a wonderful week (actually 9 days after coming early and extending our stay). We truely enjoyed our stay in your beautiful open air cabin and loved our daily walks down "monkey alley" to the beach. Congo-Bongo

I am half tempted to trash talk the Congo-Bongo simply to keep secret one of the greatest places on earth! We stayed at the congo-bongo in May 2007 with a group of over 20 people. It became one of the best trips ever for every single person that went and experienced. Daan was incredibly nice and made us a wonderful breakfast, as well as a beautiful dinner one evening. Every time I thnk about the Congo-Bongo, I think of good times, green jungle, howler monkeys, and amazing jungle sounds 24/7. Not to mention the beach is very close and very private. I will be back, and until then, I have told many people about the Congo-Bongo and continue to do so! Rylan Hayes
